SMS Consent & Opt-In Process

This page documents how trAIde Tools collects SMS consent from end customers on behalf of the service businesses we power.

How Consent Is Collected

Consent is collected via a two-step process starting with a verbal inquiry at the point of service.

Step 1 — Verbal Inquiry

During service intake, technicians use the following script:

"May I have your mobile number to send you appointment confirmations and arrival alerts? You will receive a text to confirm your enrollment."

Step 2 — Digital Opt-In via SMS

Once the number is entered into the digital intake form, the customer is sent a single opt-in invitation:

"trAIde Tools: You've been added as a contact for your upcoming service appointment. Reply JOIN to receive SMS notifications including appointment confirmations, technician arrival alerts, payment links, and follow-ups. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to decline."

Only customers who reply JOIN are enrolled. Customers who do not reply receive no further messages. Consent is not a condition of service.

Opt-In Confirmation

When a customer replies JOIN, they receive the following confirmation:

"You're now opted in to receive service-related SMS notifications from trAIde Tools. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for assistance. traidetools.com/privacy"

Message Types

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on service activity. Customers may receive up to 5 messages per service appointment and up to 2 maintenance reminders per year.

Opt-Out & Support

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. A confirmation is sent and no further messages will be delivered. Reply HELP or contact support@traidetools.com or (734) 474-7025 for assistance.
